What do you think is most wrong with Yuriorkis Gamboa does he have a weak chin and/or does he have poor defense?

Like all sluggers, he is open to counter shots, but if Gamboa hits you first, his chin is the least of your concerns.

he just gets too uncareful with his defense. yeah, he is been knocked down but never seriously hurt.

l would not say poor defense because he has great head movement he just keeps his hands down. Gamboa is a good young fighter he just really needs to keep his hands up because once he moves up a fights better competition he is going to get seriously hurt or even knocked out.

He reminds me of Trinidad, gets knocked down, but has amazing recovery. But his defense could definitely use some work.

He is suffering from being too good. He is not focusing on the skill of boxing and letting his natural ability carry him. l call it ''Prince Hamed Syndrome''. There is no doubt a classic, left hooking Mexican with 3 losses out there that is going to retire him the same way Barerra retired Hamed.

Both! The kid has talent, there is no question about that, but he just does not have the solid defense or chin to fight like he has been against the better fighters in the division. He better work on that defense or he will be knocked out cold very soon.

Well, in boxing either you have a good chin or you don't. It is not something that you can really improve greatly. Since, Gamboa has concerns for his chin, l would say that his defense is the thing that needs working.

l think he is confident in letting his face open. But he should be careful with his confidence. l mean he is good and a hard hitter, but defense is a part of boxing. he tries to move away from those punches. he does have a weak chin.. but he doesnt have poor defense, he has no defense. all he wants to play is offense. this guy should be careful if he runs into real contenders.

The guy is just too cocky man, and thats what is leading him to his poor defence, but yea he can improve trust me, he is another big star as far as l can see coming :)
