l for one am getting tired of this dude calling himself the greatest ever, then ''retiring'' rather than face the best in his OWN division, the all of a sudden popping up whenever he feels like it and saying ''l wanna fight this guy or that guy now.'


Manny Pacquiao EARNED the top spot in boxing because he fought all the top guys on the way there. He did not ''retire'' to avoid anyone only to come back for a mega-fight against Oscar. Floyd has avoided all the top dogs at '47 like Margarito, Williams, Cotto, and Mosley but all of a sudden now he is ready to fight Pacquiao or a rematch with Hatton. It is clear that Floyd is not concerned with being an all time great, he is all about the money. You know what? They should MAKE him fight a top welter before he gets a shot at Pacquiao! l know that is unlikely because of the loot involved but Freddie Roach and Manny should tell him ''Screw you, go beat a top guy and EARN a shot at Manny instead of just getting one from your living room couch!''

News flash: ALL of them r in it for the money. And as long as people keep talking about it & creating/sustaining the buzz, the marketers & brokers will keep pitching it. It does not matter if it is ''fair'' or whatever, it only matters that there is a story behind it. Just like college football, it rarely is about having a champion; it is about dollars.

l bet that the next time Floyd Jr fights, u will spend time & money to watch & root against him . . . & while u get suckered into buying pay-per-view & yelling at ur television, the boxers & brokers laugh all the way to the bank. l think its pathetic how all these guys r using Floyd Mayweathers name to evaluate their own status. During the build up to Cotto vs Margarito every promo talks about Floyd Not fight Margarito but they never mention how Margartio did not want to fight Paul Williams again or how he tried to pay Joshua Clotty dirt for a rematch so that he would decline the fight with him.

Boxings all about Bussiness but when Mayweather trys to make a smart Bussiness decison he is a fruad. Lets forget about The Heavyweights not wanting to fight each other or Oscar & Pacquiao a Featherweight vs a Middlweight.

l do not know how he can say he is the best when he never fought the best in his division.

One can argue that the money is not there if he fights Margo or Williams BUT, not everybody will agree with him about being the best.
Fighting the top light welter (Hatton) is not the same as fighting the top welter (Margo) which is his OWN division.

Floyd was the best in the world at 140 & below, 147 was a big jump for him, & he was wise to avoid the welterweights u listed, l think a couple of them would have beaten Mayweather. It is a business, & money is how u tell who is winning, in that regard Floyd was successful, nobody really believed Floyd is hype, it is doubtful Floyd even believes he is on anybody is all time great list yet. Nobody really took his retirement seriously either, in fact truth be told Floyd is not a welterweight by most standards, he & Hatton r much better at the lighter weights.

l agree with you, Floyd is retired, he should at least take on a 147 lb. contender before waltzing into a mega bout with Pacquiao, There r at least six guys who could pose a serious threat to both Manny & Floyd at welter weight, neither r any more comfortable than Hatton that heavy. Hatton is the only other fighter below 147 that Manny could realistically give a shot to, & l think that is the route Pacquiao will take. Mayweather should be forced to fight the winner of the Mosley/Margarito fight on the under card of Pacquiao/Hatton, with the two winning fighters facing off at a later date for a mega pay day.

You make a valid point, but as the others have pointed out, ultimately they r all in it for the money.

Mayweather Jr. would eat Cotto, Jennings, Margarito, and Mosley alive ( l do not know enough about Williams to judge). He has earned his reputation and he is willing to fight the best, in fact, he will only fight the best nowadays. He wants a megafight and deserves it. If he loses, then you can be a whining bitch, but if he wins, go buy a dildo and fuck yourself!

l think the key word in ur question is ''act''. All that stuff is just for media consumption & to enrage boxing fans into purchasing tickets. Floyd really is not a 147 lb fighter anyway, but a blown-up lightweight while guys like Margarito & Williams r stripped down middleweights. Didn't/Do not both Marga & Williams use diuretics to make weight? The idea of weight classes is to avoid mismatches in size. Williams is way too big, & Margo is much bigger than FM. FM would still defeat Margo, tho.

When u see & hear Floyd doing these things, keep in mind it is all just theater. Surely u do not think that Harrison Ford needs a bullwhip & stylish hat to check the mail box for booby-traps every morning? That is because he only portrays Indiana Jones on the big screen.
