Andrew, l know this fight is ridiculous and l know how it would play out, but l posted the question to prove a point.

Pacquiao by KO in the 8th. Hearns was good but he could not go toe to toe for 3 minutes with Manny.

Even Manny can beat him at 2 or 3..it would be TKO at 8th. That is how Pacquiao do things to make your money worth of watching

Andrew M is the only answerer thus far who knows anything about boxing (and igor he must of answered whilst l was writing), Manny would get destroyed by Tommy Hearns at Welter, he would get knocked out within 3 rounds, all the other answerers above should check out what Tommy did to Cuevas & Duran on youtube, great but small fighters just werent a problem for the heavy handed Hearns. Pacquiao done great the other night against a jaded & lacklustre Oscar but the likes of a Margarito or a Williams will walk through Manny & this is not coming from an over patriotic American or Mexican, l am a Brit who classes Manny as my favourite current fighter, he needs to get out of that division & quickly.

It looks like Manny might be bringing a lot of new fans to the sport which is a good thing but it looks like they might need to learn a little about the rest of the sport at the minute & take off their Manny Pacquiao rose tinted glasses, if the two fighters fought a hundred times Hearns knocks out Pacquiao a hundred times.

lol pacman is good but he is not god thats why there are weight classes in boxing because size does matter l think he cant beat a true welterweight like mayweather, cotto, margarito, mosley maybe at 140.

Ok, in Thomas Hearns you have a guy with frightening power that could blast light heavyweights. In Manny Pacquiao you have a guy that suffered 2 1-punch KO is at fly weight.

Predictions? Hearns wins by near-decapitation in round 1.

If there is a point to be made, l guess it is that Manny is in reality, nowhere close to being an all-time welter.

l give Manny Pacquiao a lot of credit & no doubt is probably the best p4p fighter out there today. He has blazing speed & is tenacious. Now Thomas Hearns is quite another story. He was about 6'1'' with long arms & maybe the hardest punching welterweight of all time. l will never forget the devastating knockout of Roberto Duran especially when l think of a fight like this. The size & strength difference between these two would be very evident as Hearns would stalk Pacquiao, trap him in a corner & land a vicious right hand sending Manny to the canvas & completely knocked out in round 2.

Hearns' jab alone would win him the match. His size, reach and speed at his prime would be too much for Manny. The guy went toe to toe with Hagler for 3 rounds for cryin' out loud. l doubt if Manny could do the same against Hearns much more against Hagler. Sheer size disadvantage for Pacquiao.

Hearns is washed up! Before Pacman could even climb into the ring, everyone predicted that he is going to get beat by Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Diaz and Dela Hoya, only to end up getting knocked out or quit before everyone is eyes.And afterwards they will be labeled WASHED UP. Now you want Hearns or Margarito to face the P4P King? .. Might as well label them washed up too!

Anyway just for the record, this Filipino thinks that only in Bizarro world would Pacman win that fight. Older Filipino fans remember Hearns well enough to know this.
