l grew up around a few people who used to beat me up a lot as a child so l learned how to fight back.l was on dance team throughout High School and was voted for ''best attitude'' for 4 years in a row with a team of a bunch of catty girls, so l do not have a problem with discipline or running my mouth. But l have a lot of aggression and l think this is a sport l would be really good at.

How do l get started?

l would search around for some legit boxing gyms in your area and go visit them and talk to the trainers. There is no better way to find out if this is a good sport for you than to jump in the gym and start training.

You will need to join a kick boxing gym, which has boxing tornaments and training. They have training as preparation for entering the boxing ring. See if you can find one in your location.

Just call a few local gyms & clubs for timings & ask what they have available. Then turn up to see the coach one night. That is how we all started. Most boxing gyms take beginners & have no problem training girls, because it is all membership to them anyway. Some might be pro level only, but they will tell u that straight up. Otherwise there is nothing u need to start. No one needs to be a great fighter at first, that is what u go to learn.

Its a perfect sport if u have aggression & discipline.You will also find there is no attitude at boxing.Everyone is too busy doing their own thing(too busy sweating their ass off in other words!).
The coach teaches the whole class as one & usually gets some of the more experienced boxers to also help the beginners.ITs step by step learning, no one is required to jump in & spar right away or do anything that makes u uncomfortable. They do not want to scare off new members.

Girls shouldnt box. this is a mans sport
